Meet the team

  • Rob Kelly

    Owner & Founder

    Rob has 20 years industry experience since taking his first warehousing job at the age of 17.

    He founded, what has become the Allegro Group in 2012 with a vision to provide 1st class logistics services with a custom focused approach. Starting out as the one and only van driver, Rob has worked across every role in the business.
    He now overseas company finances, short and long term group strategy.

    Outside of the workplace Rob is a keen musician playing local gigs in the Bristol area. When he is not working or gigging Rob enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter.

  • Marcus Gater

    Managing Director

    An Experienced Managing Director, for both Allegro Freight Forwarding & Allegro Logistics Marcus leads the company Strategy, product & solution development, alongside being responsible for the team at Allegro.

    With over 26 years of Logistics Experience working across all sectors he is always pushing the boundaries in terms of services offered and the quality provided by Allegro.

    Outside of work Marcus, is a keen Cyclist and teaches Spin 3 times per week, a busy family life and the love of the sea means you will find him in Cornwall whenever time permits.

  • Richard Evans

    Freight Forwarding Operator

    • 10 Years Supply Chain Experience (Inc 5 years Logistics/Road Export)
    • Expertise including networking and listening to customers, to find the best solutions for their needs.
    • Keen interest in Geography and languages, which helps determine the best options to fulfil your supply needs, while being able to communicate to service providers out of the UK.
    • Used to working in high paced arenas, while ensuring a high level of accuracy is kept.
    • Personal hobbies include spending family time, and a dedicated musician, with over 30 years’ experience playing Saxophone, Clarinet and signing. Currently playing in/organising a Reggae group from the South-West.

  • Russell Jefferies

    Freight Forwarding Operator

    I am part of the Allegro Freight Forwarding Team, I have over 8 Years experience within the industry working previously for some of the largest Global Brands.

    I have worked as a Multi modal freight operator, so I have dealt with all modes of transport Air, Ocean, Road & Rail freight. Within this role I have been part of some small and large Projects and have managed my own customer base for imports and exports.

    In my spare time for my hobbies, I enjoy Cycling Bike Packing/Touring with friends, Road for fitness and downhill Mountain biking for fun. I really enjoy visiting Bike Parks and Trail centres around the UK, Ireland and Scotland. I play football and often do various water sports as well and love going to the beach.

    Chairman

    Terry has headed up SMEs since the 1980’s & has a wealth of experience with regards to medium- & long-term strategy, building family-owned businesses through organic growth.

    A one-time professional musician based in London’s West End; Terry still participates in the local music scene when he can find the time & enjoys fell walking most weekends.

    Process Director

    Emma is our Process Director and has been working in the logistics industry for 8 years.  Her love of Excel is slightly strange but highly beneficial to the business.

    She is married with 2 girls, and 2 sausage dogs and enjoys the going to the gym and socialising.  She does say she is not the ‘run of the mill’ Director but loves her job and the people she works with
